How to get Police Job?
To get Police Jobs in India, candidates have to qualify for a competitive exam. Indian Government conducts various examinations such as SSC Constable, Civil Services Exams, and other state-level recruitment exams to recruit the police officers in different departments. Police Job After 12th:-
12th pass candidates can become a Police Constable. To become a Police Constable candidates have to clear competitive examinations which are conducted by the State Selection Commission (SSC) in each state of India to recruit the candidates for the post of Police Constable. After clearing the Exam and Interview, candidates have to undergo a training program. Here are the minimum prerequisites:-
- 12th Pass.
- Age Limit: 18 to 22 years.
- Height : 167 cms.
- Chest: 81 cms chest with a maximum increase of 5 cms.
Police Officer After Graduation:-
Candidates can apply for a higher post in the Police Department. Candidates holding the degree can become an Indian Police Service (IPS). Indian Police Service (IPS) is one of the top designations in the Police Department. Candidates have to qualify Civil Service Examinations conducted by the UPSC with good marks to become an IPS. Candidates also have to meet the fitness requirement.
- Graduation Degree.
- Age Limit: 21 to 32 years.
Selection procedure for the IPS comprises three stages:-
- Stage 1: Preliminary Exam.
- Stage 2: Mains Exam.
- Stage 3: Interview.
In the Preliminary Exam, candidates have to prepare for two papers:-
- Pape- I (General Studies).
- Paper-II (Civil Service Aptitude Test).
Candidates have first had to qualify Preliminary Exam to be eligible to appear for Mains exam.
